About the Project

361 Fantasy Football is a mobile fantasy football app created for fans of the Algerian League. The goal was to deliver a playful, intuitive, and engaging experience despite a challenging context: limited available data, low media coverage of matches, and a user base unfamiliar with fantasy platforms.

As the lead UI/UX designer, I was involved in every key stage: from understanding user needs to designing interactive interfaces, prototyping, and testing. The main challenge was to make the game understandable, attractive, and functional—even with limited resources.

The project was carried out for the client RedBeard under a short but intense timeline, with a focus on a clear, dynamic, mobile-first experience tailored to a passionate local football audience.

The Problem

Designing a fantasy football app for the Algerian League presented a major challenge: the lack of reliable and detailed data. Unlike major European leagues, the Algerian championship has very limited statistics, little TV coverage, and thus little access to real-time information.

This drastically limits opportunities for analysis, strategic decisions, and game interaction — which can quickly make the experience less engaging.

For users, this resulted in:

01

Difficulty tracking player performance

The lack of reliable stats made it hard for users to follow player performances, making tactical decisions random and frustrating.

02

Less engagement and competition with friends

Without solid statistics or clear indicators, user interactions and competition were reduced, weakening the game’s social dimension.

03

A gradual loss of interest in the app

The lack of immersive data reduced motivation to return regularly, especially for novice users.

The Solution

To compensate for the lack of data, I designed a user experience focused on clarity, intuitiveness, and visual engagement. The goal was to simplify interactions as much as possible while creating an attractive and functional interface—even with minimal data.

The app includes guided onboarding for beginners, a clean dashboard highlighting key information (rankings, points, schedule), and interactive components such as simplified player cards, visual performance badges, and quick action shortcuts. Every element was designed to maximize clarity with minimal data.

Team creation

An integrated store adds a playful and customizable layer to the experience. Users can unlock exclusive badges, custom pitches, and historical Algerian club jerseys. This feature strengthens retention and engagement by allowing users to personalize their universe as they progress through the game.
